"Eurodon" launches a duck manufacturing project

"Eurodon" LLC – the leading company at the Russian turkey meat market starts a duck breeding and manufacturing complex constructing.
The complex will be situated in the Millerovskyi area of the Rostov region. The complex production capacity at the first stage of the project development will reach 20 thousand tons of meat per year. The project is implemented by "Donstar" LLC which is the integral part of GC "Eurodon."
Around 800 job vacancies will be created within the new project implementation of which is carried out with financial support of  the Agricultural Bank. The volume of the investments reaches 5 billion rubles.
Geographically the new complex will be located in the close proximity to the federal highway M-4 "Don". At the first stage of development the company will focus on products delivery to Moscow and other major cities of Central Russia.
"We intend to restore industrial duck meat production in Russia. Within a year and a half we plan to increase the range of products and supply both duck and turkey meat to the federal retail chains. With the successful implementation of the project we can significantly reduce the share of imported frozen products into the Russian market and offer our consumers a high quality chilled products, "- says “Eurodon” CEO Vadim Vaneev.
The future complex will include a hatchery, parent flock facilities to ensure settable eggs production, barns for commercial flocks rearing, feed mill plant with elevator, meat processing plant, bedding material plant and other industrial facilities.
"We’ve been preparing for this project launching for several years. The uniqueness of the future complex is that we have studied the experience of the world's leading producers of duck meat and adapted it to Russian conditions ", - stressed Vadim Vaneev.
The future complex will initially be designed to comply with the strict sanitary and biosecurity standards. The closed-cycle technology with full automation of production processes will be applied. Russian companies have to work under the more severe conditions compared to the  Western producers, who do not have such strict requirements of legislation and regulatory authorities on sanitary and epidemiological safety of the established industries.
Construction of the complex facilities will be carried out by “Irdon” LLC – a construction company which is also a part of GC Eurodon.
